ADM, Decatur, IL, plans to introduce to the U.S. a cooking oil that studies show burns more calories than traditional products. The premium oil, already made by Kao Corporation, Tokyo, Japan, will allow ADM to push further into consumer territory. In a soon-to-be-finalized 50-50 joint venture with Kao, ADM is planning to take the oil into U.S. test markets.
